The IBEW Local No. 43 & Electrical Contractors Welfare Fund Trustees are pleased to announce new benefits
covering fertility and family building, support for pregnancy and postpartum, and menopause
benefits, to eligible participants effective June 1, 2025. These new benefits are
administered by Progyny.
Progyny is your guide for fertility and family building to pregnancy and postpartum, and all the way through
menopause and midlife. Progyny includes concierge 1:1 support from a dedicated Patient Care
Advocate (PCA), access to care from expert providers, and exclusive doctor-approved
resources available via an app. We hope that Progyny will help you feel prepared,
confident, and supported as you navigate your next big milestone.
Who & What is Covered?
If you are enrolled in the IBEW Local 43 & Electrical Contractors Health Coverage through
UMR, the following programs are available to you via Progyny, effective June 1, 2025.
- Fertility & Family Building: Access to top fertility specialists and counseling for every path to parenthood, including preconception support and comprehensive treatment coverage for fertility care (i.e., IUI, IVF, fertility medications and more).
- Pregnancy & Postpartum: Support throughout pregnancy and up to 12 months postpartum. Speak to pregnancy and postpartum coaches, labor and delivery nurses, doulas, and lactation specialists, and access a library of education and checklists for each milestone.
- Menopause & Midlife Care: Guidance that starts at the earliest symptoms of menopause. Get a personalized plan for relief, with the latest treatment options and lifestyle tips from specialists on the line.
Services covered through Progyny are administered in accordance with the regular cost sharing and deductible found in the Welfare Fund’s Summary Plan Description.
