FUND OFFICE NEWS

FUND OFFICE NEWS

Dear Participants,

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 43 and Electrical Contractors Welfare Fund’s Board of Trustees are pleased to inform you of an important enhancement to the Welfare Plan for Retirees.

Effective July 1, 2026, eligible dependent children may now be enrolled for coverage under the Retiree Health Plan. Previously, retiree coverage was limited to retirees and spouses only.

Enclosed is a Summary of Material Modification (SMM) describing this change in greater detail.

If you are currently retired, enrolled in our health plan, and wish to enroll your eligible dependent child(ren) for coverage, you must contact the Fund Office and complete the required enrollment forms prior to July 1, 2026.

Please note, Retirees enrolled in this Plan’s Pre-Medicare Retiree Health Coverage may only decline coverage for their eligible dependent child if the child has other “minimum value” group employer-sponsored health coverage, or has health benefits through the Affordable Care Act Marketplace (a minimum of Gold coverage).

If you have any questions or need assistance with the enrollment process, please contact the Fund Office at 315 -474-5729.

Sincerely,
Kevin Koval
Plan Manager
